Which was terrible! In Underworld however I'd rather how long Lara can hold onto a ledge depend on the difficulty level and not change through out the game. I know this was in AOD but it was more of an RPG thing with Lara going I feel stronger now. They could also add a little bar showing how long Lara can hold onto a ledge on a vertical wall. In Adventurer they could make the damage done to Lara by traps and falls more. And there would be no limit to how long lara could hold onto ledges. Meaning everything should be at the default nothing to difficult. So we need to figure our some unique ways to make each difficulty more difficult than the last without the conventional give lara less health, give enemies more. And it's more of an annoyance than a challenge. In theory this sounds good but it's not very satisfying. So I would like to keep that.īut in both games all increasing the difficulty does is make the enemies harder to kill and give Lara less health. I personally liked how Legend gave the difficulty names, names that had something to do with Lara and Tomb Raiding in general. In TRL it was Explorer, Adventurer, Tomb Raider I believe. In TRA and TRL there were different difficulty levels. I was thinking about the difficulty levels. This just suddenly dawned on me when I was reading the "return of the high-lighted ledges" thread. Also, despite being a third game, this one has a lot more content than any of the previous games in the Tomb Raider franchise.I made this thread so we could discuss what would be the best way to diverse the difficulty levels. First of all, unlike most games in this genre (which is usually more action oriented and less story-driven), Tomb Raider: Underworld features strong puzzles and game play that makes it very engrossing and fun to play. As stated above, it ties up the tale of Lara and her father and also introduces us to the new hero, a girl named Iris.ĭespite being only a video game, Crystal Dynamics: Underworld stands out amongst the Tomb Raider video games for a few reasons. This first Tomb Raider game is the last chapter in Crystal Dynamics' Tomb Raider franchise, and as such, it features all the great things that made the previous games so popular. In this game, however, Lara must save the world as well as finding out who is behind the attacks on her father's life. However, it diverges from that series' main plot, and revolves instead around the idea of a worldwide conspiracy. The game follows the storyline of Tomb Raider: Legend. They were dispatched by the then King of England, to find and extract the kidnapped Presidentress of America, Bella Gardner, from her mansion in Washington, D.C. This time, it is in a post-apocalyptic world, where the only remaining force on Earth strong enough to protect the human race from an impending volcanic eruption is a group of British Royal Air Force soldiers who call themselves the Tomb Raiders. The game starts three years after the events of Tomb Raider: Legend. It's the follow-up to the last Tomb Raider game, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, before its release. Tomb Raider: Underworld is basically the prequel to the much hyped Tomb Raider game series.
